The Fujifilm FinePix S1000fd is a utilitarian looking, budget-priced, ultra zoom digital camera that looks and handles like a miniature DSLR.
The long-zoom class has ballooned from just a couple of models less than ten years ago to the absolutely bloated list of entries currently available, and that means each new extended-zoom model is obliged to provide something to make it appear to be unique in order to garner any notice. The only down fall to this camera is that I wouldn't consider it to be the best camera when taking general photo's, I'm not saying its bad because it is far from that. Evidentially it takes wonderful photo's of animals even on full zoom!
To this end, Fuji claims the S1000fd (which replaces the S700) is the world's smallest 10 mega pixel digital camera with 12x optical zoom.
