Recent/Future Purchases

So recently I've bought a couple of different items to wear in summer on my holidays and I've discovered a few different items which I plan on buying; so I'm gonna show you guys them!

Firsty I bought this South Beach Chelsy Glam bandeau bikini top from ASOS this was only £19 and it is perfect I am absolutely obsessed with this bikini top and can't stop looking at it. But anyway I paired it with the basic Topshop highwaisted lilac bottoms which were only £10.

The next thing I bought was these Topshop Moto Mom jeans in baby blue. However, I got these from an app called Depop which is basically ebay for girls I've talked about this in an earlier post so go and check it out.

This is one thing that I really want to get it is from Forever 21 and is only £22.75 and you can get it in this colour and also in navy blue. I love this dress for summer but the reason I've not bought this yet is because I'm not sure if it will be too hot in Mykonos but I might order it and see how thick it is.

Another thing I'd like to order is a two piece, I've looked at a few on depop and I just really love the way they look. I was planning on getting high waisted shorts and a crop top but I'm not too sure now as I've looked at the skirts and they look really cute.

Of course thats only a tiny segment of what I want to buy, I can't help it I'm a girl, but it would take days to write this post if I did everything so I'm going to leave it now!

Outfit of the Moment
So before I start this I'm going to say that I've been doing my DofE practice walk so firstly I'd start with my walking boots and some leggings. Then my bright pink waterproof and my hella big rucksack!

Accessory you Can't Live Without
Depop! Now this is an app which you can get from the Apple store and the Android store for free. It's basically a girly version of eBay! You have your own profile where you can post pictures and then you have your home where you can browse the people that your following items. And then you have the explore so the layouts basically very similar to Instagram.

Current Obsession
Crisps I can't get enough of them, normally I'm not too keen on them but recently I've just craved them constantly!

Latest Splurge
So recently I've bought a few different bits and bobs so I'm going to consider them as my latest splurge. So first I got Mac's cream blend blusher in Brit Wit and one of Mac's lipsticks in Hot Gossip. Also I got another blusher from Nars in Amour which is a lovely pinky colour and one of their concealers in the shade Ginger for when I've (crossing my fingers) got my tan from Mykonos.

Outfit of the Moment

I'm really feeling summery at the moment so this months outfits will be more of a summer outfit. Firstly I'm starting with my flowery and checked shirt from primark I'm then putting this with just some simple plain jeans and some white converse.

Accessory you Can't Live Without

Now many people wouldn't call this an accessory but I'm choosing my rescue remedy this is a little solution which helps you relax. At the moment it has become my life saver because I'm in the middle of a gruelling week of mock exams and I mean like three exams a day. And I seem to get very anxious and start to panic and I can't really control this but I must admit I do feel extremely calm once I've had a bit of this.

Current Obsession

Makeup I physically cannot stop buying it its becoming obsessive and frankly quite weird. I can't talk about it or I might end up doing some Internet shopping.

Latest Splurge

Recently I haven't splurged but me and my friend are going to get our hair done and do some shopping on Friday and I do plan on spending money I can't bear to see it just sat in my purse all alone.

Anne Hathaway mainly because I heard her on radio 1st breakfast show with grimmy and decided to Internet stalk her. I think she always looks absolutely flawless- I woke up like this, FLAWLESS. And she just genuinely always looks very elegant.

Apologies

So I've just been looking at my blog wondering how I could change it and I've realised that i had completely forgotten about my monthly Fashion in Five. I haven't done it since January and I'm not going to do it now as it is something I'd do around the start of the month so I'll start again in April!

Drake and The Weeknd

Normally I would go to a concert liking the artist or group and have the support act as someone I've heard of maybe thought was alright, but when me and one of my close friends booked to see Drake we were so happy to find out the support act was The Weeknd who we both absolutely love. So on Tuesday 11th we went to Manchester to see them both and to sum up my night it was the best concert I've been to by far and would love to see them both again, however the downside was that I came out with my clothes smelling of weed. Passion, Is It Worth It?

Just the other day I was considering how much I hate talking about where I want to go and what I want to do with my life. But really I have no reason to be as I should be proud that I know exactly what I want to do with my life at such a young age. But as I browsed my cousins blog and found a very emotional post I was reminded of why I'm ashamed to have a little guidance here is her post. Her post just makes me consider sometimes whever it is worth it just typing on my laptop daily and putting shed loads of passion into my blog and occasionally getting the odd reply?

P.s. Incase you didn't already know I aspire to be a police officer when I'm older as I love the idea of having a fast and active lifestyle and more importantly working within the law.

Dior Airflash Foundation | Review

So today i went into manchester and i was approached by a lovely lady who woke at the dior counter; and she asked if i wanted to try there new like spray? foundation. Now i have abit of a history of not being able to say no sometimes for the better but more often for the worse, however it was my lucky day! so we went over to the counter, where she tested my skin to find out my correct colour; she then showed me my foundation match but I really can't remember what it was. You can spray this foundation straight onto your face but I already had my daily makeup on so she sprayed it onto a brush and buffed it into my face as you would a normal foundation. Then she went onto do my bronzer and blusher to finish off my look. I really liked the foundation it made my skin ver flawless and left it looking blemish free, and genuinely it looked matte and gave my skin a real natural finish

Good Vibes

So it's nearly exam season so all the pressure is being put on about revising and exam technique and I've had loads of homework recently and I have just been struggling to get on with mainly my textiles work because i find it hard to concentrate if I'm not fully calm and if I'm not calm I physically can't draw. I may be a little OCD with drawing because I'm not happy until it is completely perfect so concentrating has become really importantly recently and I've found certain song have helped me concentrate so I've put them into a playlist on spotify because i thought it would be helpful for others as it leads up to exam season.

Justin Bieber | Out of Control? Or Just Expressing Himself?

Recently Justin Bieber has been one of the main attractions in the news all sorts from the questionable egging of the neighbours house to receiving a DUI in a yellow Lamborghini. But the most recent scandal is Bieber being charged with assaulting a limo driver in Toronto, now should we think the worst of him? Or consider that really it was a drunken mistake, which happens to many of his age around the world but it isn't published, which he has handed himself in without any witness' and even the victim from having to stand in court and causing a lot of distress and upset.

But should we be seeing his sudden impulses for drastic measures to cry for help from his family, friends and fans?

What's In My Makeup Bag | Updated

DIY Vintage Styled Candles

After Christmas we had lots of glass jars from either mince meat, jam or different spreads so I used some of these to store my makeup brushes in. But I wanted another way to up-cycle these jars and I was doing the usual browse on tumblr when I saw someone using jars to make pretty, shabby chic candle holders. 

Here's what you will need:

1 Tealight 

1 Glass jar

1 strip of either ribbon, netting or fabric to decorate

PVA glue

Here is how to make them:

1. Clean your jar remove all stickers just warm water will do this job well.

2. Get your piece of ribbon, netting/ decorative item and wrap it around your jar. If tied tight enought it should stay in place fine but if not put a little blob of ova glue on the jar then stick your item on top. 

3. Now you may need a responsible adult to help you with this bit, light your tea light and then carefully place on top of the jar and drop it in place. 

And there we have our pretty candle holder and you can just replace the tea light when it runs out.

Kick Ass Concealer | Review

So today I am reviewing Soap & Glory's Kick Ass Concealer and in the past I've had different Soap & Glory products that I have loved but Im not a big fan of this one. I found the formula to be too greasy and slippery to be effective. It immediately creased under my eyes and no matter how much priming and setting of my skin, I couldn't get the concealer to look natural and effortless. On the plus side, I love the setting powder and still use it frequently, but it has smashed as has the packaging lid come off. So genuinely I have disliked this this product and therefore I would not recommend it to anyone.

Fashion in Five | January 2014

Lets just start with HAPPY NEW YEAR!!! So everyone should of made there new years resolutions now I made one at first which is a frequent and cliché and it was to loose weight. I talked to my cousin about it and she corrected me by saying; not to loose weight to gain a positive healthy lifestyle. to do this I plan on eating healthily, but I'll still have my cheat days, and regularly exercising, don't worry I won't go mental. But anyway I'm rambling on so I'll just get on with this.

Outfit of the Moment

For me It's still winter therefore I still feel the need to be festive, so Im going with a nice party dress in a dark colour like burgundy with little burgundy hearts on with tights boots and a nice and big oversized blazer.

Accessory you can't live without

Fluffy slipper socks, as a got some in my stocking which are red and white fairisle patterned and completely fluffy on the inside. Now I have these I would consider them a winter essential mainly because they are so snug!

Current obsession

Fairy Lights! I recently decided my room wasn't cosy enough and I decided to buy two sets of fairy lights. I have twisted one set around the headboard of my bed and draped the other set over and around my tv to make it blend in with the theme of my room (Cath Kidston, shabby chic)

Latest Splurge

My latest splurge has to be the macbook pro I received for christmas and it is by far the best present I've ever got. I'm absolutely in love with it I can't keep myself off it; even if I have nothing to do I just sit with it on my lap because it's soo pretty!

Style Icon

This is hard at the moment because normally when it gets to this time of the year I give up and start throwing outfits together and not really caring what I look like. So this time I don't really have a style icon.
